Attraction of EU funding – from program selection to getting financing

Representative from the Latvian Guarantee Agency – the Agency secures the mechanism to enable entrepreneurs to obtain real financial support or guarantee for realization of innovative business ideas and loan or lease guarantee in Latvian commercial banks.

Executive director of The association of business consultants of Latvia Dainis Locans – during his presentation numerous cases that show when and how business consultants / project managers are involved in the process of writing and realization of projects will be discussed: cooperation schemes, terms of payment and other important questions.

Lecturer Uldis Vitolins – great experience in local and international project management and development, including the EU structural funds project management, so he can explain and answer all the questions concerning full project cycle (starting from idea till writing, implementation and transfer of co-financing/grant to entrepreneurs account). He has gained qualification experience also at Harvard Business School special courses. One of the founders and members of The Economists Association 2010.

Agnese Paegle – head of Corporate Services department at Citadele Banka and senior vice-president. One of the three most important segments of banking – corporate services – is under the supervision of Agnese Paegle. Before occupying this responsible position Agnese has been working in positions at different organizational levels and continuously sharpening her skills, knowledge and talents. During her presentation, Agnese will familiarize you with cooperation scheme between a bank and a client and possibilities available for credit activities of projects that are cofinansed by the EU. You will get information about the experience of cooperation between the government, enterprises and commercial banks in Latvia, current situation and future trends in the sphere of the EU structural funds.
